The men he fought beside were like the family he never got to have. He took pride in his squad and the feeling of companionship that he longed for all his life. Armed with high grade weaponry, combat armor specifically issued to Marines, and a mountain of stimpacks, The Director became a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. He went through brutal training and rigorous work, but it all paid off when he was able to help his country and save lives. After hearing about the war efforts and needed troops for the Anchorage assault, he decided to enlist in the army as a medic in the Marines. Although he was happy with his job, he felt that he could do more with his life than manage a grocery store. He liked that he could have a well paying job and still have time to delve into his own scientific studies at his house. He ended up staying at the Super Duper Mart, working his way up the ladder until he became the manager. He loved science, but he didnt want to have a job that forced him to be away from home. He considered going to college for biology and working at Greentech Genetics, but didnt like the idea of working in a labratory all day like his parents. Despite being a very intelligent man, he didnt have any longterm goals. He took up a part time at the Super Duper Mart as a shelf stocker, and put as much work into his work as he did his education. As he went into high school, he didnt have much use for a babysitter anymore and ended up taking care of himself most of the time. He looked forward to test days so he could go home and show his perfect 100, which would be reward by a big cone of vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate. His babysitter would congratulate him on good grades and treated him to ice cream frequently, which pushed him to do better. He was what most people would call an egghead. He was naturally smart and excelled in all of his studies, but was antisocial and was never good at making friends. She taught him the values of honor and dignity, and always encouraged him to do his best at school. He grew up feeling little true love from family members as the rest of them lived out west, but he took a little comfort in his babysitter. He only saw his parents a couple hours each day and was mostly taken care of by a babysitter.
